Projected impact by 2040
Through our pan African initiative entitled; Empowering Africa’s Youth and Women for Sustainable Transformation: A 15-Year Project to Address the Root Causes of Irregular Migration to Europe through Skills Development, Access to Entrepreneurship, Access to Capital, Mentorship, Innovation and Climate-Smart and Sustainable Enterprise Development (2025–2040)
Program Summary
At the heart of PCF’s model are six core program pillars:
- Entrepreneurship & Skills Development: Comprehensive training in business management, innovation, digital transformation, and leadership.
- Access to Capital: Seed funding, revolving funds, and partnerships with impact investors to help small enterprises scale.
- Mentorship & Business Network: Expert guidance and one-on-one mentoring from seasoned professionals and industry leaders.
- Women & Youth Empowerment: Programs promoting gender equality, leadership, and inclusive participation in economic systems.
- Climate-Smart and Sustainable Enterprise Development: Supporting green innovation, agribusiness, and circular economy models that enhance community resilience.
- Innovation Promotion: Annual inter-university innovation and entrepreneurship competitions that identify and fund promising student-led ventures.
Through this multifaceted approach, PCF is creating pathways for opportunity, innovation, and self-reliance within local communities across Africa.
By creating viable local opportunities and improving living standards, our project directly addresses the economic push factors that drive irregular migration.
We forecast a remarkable 45% reduction in irregular migration from targeted areas. This is achieved by providing alternatives to dangerous journeys, offering dignified livelihoods, and enhancing community resilience.
When individuals have stable incomes, access to education, and a sense of hope for their future at home, the desperate need for irregular migration diminishes, allowing migration to become a choice for skilled mobility rather than a forced necessity.
These ambitious yet achievable goals will transform lives, unlock economic potential, and build a more prosperous, equitable Africa where migration becomes a choice, not a necessity.
The alleviation of pressures on host countries, often strained by large-scale irregular migration, is a direct outcome of our initiative. By fostering stability and prosperity in origin countries, we contribute to a more balanced global migration landscape.
This leads to stronger and more equitable international partnerships, founded on mutual respect and shared development goals. Investing in Africa’s youth and economy today means building a safer, more predictable, and more prosperous world for everyone, fostering greater cooperation on global challenges from climate change to public health.
Through this partnership, PCF will achieve the following key outcomes:
- Train 20,000,000+ youth and women in entrepreneurship and business management skills
- Provide seed funding to 7,000,000+ youth and women-led startups
- Create 15,000,000+ direct and reach 30,000,000+ individuals through indirect community benefits
